In 2015, I went on a family vacation to Kampala, Uganda. As a person who has been raised in a first world environment, I thought I would be a Good Samaritan and travel with school supplies to donate to third world schools. Arriving there excited to donate; the dose of reality hit me harder than a tonne of bricks.
