Super Mom Smoothie: Green Glory

I love this one if I feel a cold or flu coming on or need some help digesting last night’s holiday dinner. The ginger calms the stomach and aids in digestion. The lemon, fruits and veggies help cleanse your system and boost immunity. Honey will not only naturally sweeten things up but has a ridiculous amount of health benefits. You get some fiber from your produce and seeds. Omegas and antioxidants from the Hemp and Chia seeds. Healthy fat from the avocado (which thickens up the smoothie for a creamier texture). The Spirulina, Hemp & Chia seeds will provide some protein and the Coconut Water helps with hydration.

To me the “Super Food” in this smoothie would be the Bee Pollen. The benefits are unreal, just google it! Not only does it provide protein and an abundance of vitamins, it boosts the immune system and some athletes use it for endurance (giving you that boost of energy). Those are just a few things among many other benefits found.

  • 1/3 of a whole cucumber
  • 1 green pear
  • 1/2 of 1 avocado
  • 1 bushy stem of kale
  • 1 half a whole lemon (not just juice)
  • 1 teaspoon of grated or minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of bee pollen
  • 1 tablespoon Spirulina
  • 1 tablespoon each of hemp and chai seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of local, creamed, pure honey
  • 500ml pure unsweetened Coconut Water
