Baby It’s Cold Outside: Snuggle Up To Winter

Guys, listen up!  Chicks absolutely love the ambiance a fireplace adds to any space, and since romance is often a prelude to sex, you might want to pay attention.

You will need:

  • An electric fireplace
  • Wallpaper
  • Mosaic tile
  • Tile adhesive
  • Grout
  • Tile trim
  • Level
  • Snips
  • Drill
  • Drywall anchors

Step 1:

Measure and plan your design by determining where you are going to hang the damn thing. Making sure you have wall anchors appropriate for the weight of your project.

Step 2:

Wallpaper?  Do you have to?  No, but you only need a few strips, it’s super easy to hang, and adds depth and dimension to your project. Plus you score bonus points for even knowing what decorative wallpaper is!

Step 3

Use a mosaic tile because they are super easy to resize if necessary – just cut between the lines. Measure where your tiles should be, keeping in mind their dimensions so that you can mitigate the necessity of any cutting. Use the level to affix the tile trim to the drywall with your adhesive.

Step 4

Fill in the blank space between the tile and your fireplace with adhesive and firmly secure your tiles in place. Let dry for 24-48 hours, mix your grout and apply over the tiles and once dry wipe any excess grout from the surface of the tiles with a sponge and water.
